Ignorance is bliss

It is amazing how much effort goes into checking, checking and checking again. I believe we are on the final run to get the corrected proof to the publishers. The graphic people have done an amazing job. If I really knew how much effort it takes to get here, I think I would have decided it was not worth it....fortunately, ignorance is bliss..... I said that about my PhD but I did it. I said that about many things...but I still did them.

Where have you been?

Fair question. I have moved myself and my family to Ottawa. Leaving Calgary was easy! Ottawa was going home. We took a drive across Canada, loved the prairies most of all. After all the kerfuffle of the move and waiting weeks for internet connection, suddenly there was a house that needed work......and I was going back to work already.

I am still working in Alberta but on site now, my favourite environment. In the middle of nowhere, well north of Fort McMurray. So you will read a few observations of the design/practice split common to these regions.

The proof for the second book requires improvement so I hope to get this back to the printers before the end of the month. They need to reset and resend the proof and I have to check it again. So it looks to be mid-september...sigh...

In the meantime, I continue with writing the third book. Now that the dust has settled and there isn't any distraction, I should be able to get into my strides.
